During the Give Local Piedmont campaign on May 5, 2020, gifts to the Free Clinic exceeded the campaign goal.
“We are very grateful to our community for so generously supporting the Free Clinic,” said Shari Landry, president of the Culpeper Wellness Foundation, which manages the clinic. “This year, a generous friend of the clinic offered a match up to $5000. We were also pleased to welcome new supporters to our donor family.”
Landry added, “This year’s campaign was held during a challenging time, with the COVID-19 pandemic affecting everyone in some way. Because so many people are out of work due to the pandemic, the clinic’s services are needed now more than ever to provide free primary medical care and prescriptions for those without health insurance in Culpeper County.”
