We wish our PATH Foundation summer intern John Logan well as he wraps up his time at the clinic!
John is a rising sophomore at Hampton University, pursuing a major in architecture. He is enrolled in the Fifth Year Master’s Program and is a consistent contender for the Dean’s List for Academic Excellence. In his free time he enjoys crocheting, watching movies, playing basketball, and spending time with friends.
During his weeks with us, John was able to start developing some plans and assessments, as well as collect many healthy recipes to help us prepare for our future Food Pharmacy, a program planned for fall.

John attended meetings with our friends from Empowering Culpeper, Virginia Cooperative Extension – Culpeper Unit, Culpeper Food Closet, and Fauquier FISH. We learned a lot from these amazing resources. He helped in our garden and with produce dropped off from local farmers in support of patients and our neighbors.
John also assisted personal trainer Marcus Haywood and Bobby Zajkowski with youth programs through our Culpeper Wellness Foundation family, Powell Wellness Center and PATH Recreation and Fitness Center.

He spent time shadowing many of our team and quickly became one of the members of it!
In a final surprise, he brought in some items he crocheted and donated the items to Piedmont Hospice & Palliative Care.
Our very best wishes to John. With his genuine kindness, desire to help others, and dedication to learning all he can, John is certain to become a welcome and valued member of his chosen profession!
