How Can You Help

The Free Clinic of Culpeper runs on the service of our volunteers. If you are interested in helping the medically underserved in Culpeper, we need you! You can volunteer for a regular shift or come in as available weekly, monthly or quarterly during clinic hours on Monday through Thursday from 9am to 3pm. Some volunteer positions are also needed for our evening clinics and pharmacy.

Healthcare professionals such as physicians, nurse practitioners, physician assistants, nurses, pharmacists, therapists/counselors and nutritionists are needed to support our patients. In addition, general office, clerical, data entry and computer help is always needed. Fundraising, event planning and volunteer recruitment opportunities also exist.

Currently our most pressing needs are for licensed pharmacists, nurses and administrative volunteers. Please consider giving a gift of time!

Some words from our volunteers

The staff, nurses and doctors passionately care for their patients here and work hard for their well being. I can’t help but care. When you have come to love this community like I have, you want to help those in need.
Joanne Durr

When I moved to Culpeper six years ago and was looking to get involved in my new community I followed my heart to volunteer at the Free Clinic. I’m inspired to serve by my faith, by my mother who modeled service to others, and by my background as a physical therapist. The Clinic is a place of hope, of excellent care, and of respect, all of which lead to healthier lives.  It’s a special place and I feel blessed to be a part of it.

Volunteering at the Free Clinic is a joy. I love the mission, the staff, the patients, and the atmosphere.  It is a gift for me to be part of such a professional and important community resource.
